Registrations for ICAC 75th Plenary Meeting are open

Registration is now open for the 75th Plenary Meeting of the International Cotton Advisory Committee since 1939.
 
Further information (such as provisional agenda, the official invitation brochure, etc.) can be found at the ICAC website: www.icac.org. The event will be held at the Serena Hotel, Islamabad, Pakistan, from October 30th to November 4th.

Registration is open to all those with an interest in cotton. Official hard-copy invitations to governments, cotton industry organizations, researchers and private sector participants will be mailed in the near future. Additional invitations are available on request. More than 400 participants from all over the world attended the last ICAC Plenary Meeting.
 
The theme of the meeting will be Emerging Dynamics in Cotton: Enhancing Sustainability in Cotton Value Chain
 
The program includes presentations by leading specialists on topics such as: climate change; measures and methodologies to reduce the water footprint of cotton; enhancing the attractiveness of cotton production as a business proposition to farmers; sustainable production practices; challenges facing cotton in the textile industry; modern approaches to preservation of quality and reduction of contamination; state-of-the-art ginning and instrument testing practices; inter-fiber competition; and the role of the public sector in the production and trade of cotton.
