ICACReleases Major Update of Reports on Cotton Statistics, World Trade and TextileDemand
Regardless of which part of the cotton andtextile supply chain you need information about, you will find it in one of thethree major reports published today by the International Cotton AdvisoryCommittee (ICAC). These comprehensive reports are released each year during theICAC Plenary Meeting, and the data and tables are updated every April.
‘Cotton: World Statistics’ providesworld cotton supply/demand statistics since 1920/21, and by country since1940/41. It also includes:
· · · · Comparison of ICAC forecasts since 2001/02 with actual results.
‘World Textile Demand’ offers informationon world end-use consumption of textile fibres, cotton mill use, trade ofcotton yarn and fabric, and production of chemical yarn for more than 100countries. It also provides data on cotton’s share of the textile market and two-yearprojections for world textile fibre end-use demand.
‘World Cotton Trade’ highlights major tradedevelopments impacting the raw cotton industry since 1980. It includes analysisof world trade by region; import/export projections by country; matrices oftrade flows; and seasonal estimates of export commitments to date.
